Brandvoice AI ("the App", "we", "us") helps Shopify merchants generate on-brand social media and ad content from their product catalog. This policy explains what data we access, how we use it, and your choices.

Information we access

With your permission, the App accesses, on a read-only basis, your product catalog (titles, descriptions, images, and prices) through the Shopify Admin API, along with your store's domain and the authentication tokens Shopify provides. We request the minimum permission needed (read_products).

Information you provide

Your brand profile (tone keywords, description, and preferred content language) and any past posts you choose to paste for voice analysis.

Information we store

We store your brand profile, a history of the content you generate, and session/authentication data in a PostgreSQL database (hosted in the EU, Frankfurt). We do not collect or store your customers' personal data.

Third-party services

To generate content, we send the relevant product details and your brand tone to Anthropic (the Claude API). This data is used only to fulfill your generation request. We also rely on Shopify, our application host (Render), and our database provider (Neon). Each provider processes data under its own terms and privacy policy.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your data while the App is installed. When you uninstall the App, we delete your store's data in response to Shopify's shop/redact webhook. You may request deletion at any time by contacting us at the address below.

Customer data and GDPR

The App does not process your customers' personal data. We implement Shopify's mandatory compliance webhooks (customers/data_request, customers/redact, shop/redact).

Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS and access is restricted to what is needed to operate the App.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date reflects the current version.
